These ‘Innocent’ Shooting Targets Aim To Put A Stop To Gun Violence

To lampoon the lax gun laws in the US, graphic artist and designer Anthony Burrill came up with a series of shooting range posters depicting the innocent victims that have lost their lives to gun violence.

Titled ‘Innocent Targets’, each poster features a friendly face that could easily be someone we know. These faces are portrayed as shooting targets, accompanied with startling gun-related facts in the US.

Burrill wrote: “There are an estimated 18,000 shooting ranges operating in America today. Many of these shooting ranges sell custom targets featuring thugs, terrorists, aliens and zombies. The painfully ironic truth is that the real targets of gun violence aren't these fictional ‘bad guys’ but rather our real-life friends, neighbors, co-workers and children.”

Burrill hopes to put an end to gun violence in the US, with the proceeds from the sales of these posters going to The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.
