A Wearable Pod You Can ‘Hide’ In, Lets You Enjoy Quiet Privacy Anywhere

Design student Eden Lew has created the ‘Nutshell’, a wearable pod that aims to block out stress and to create productive break-taking.

It was designed as part of the Affirming Artifacts course which asked the students to redesign the next thing that they threw out.

Eden’s prototype was inspired by discarded sandwich wrapper. The resulting product evolved from an isolation pod for people to take their lunch, to a simpler pod that promotes the psychological benefits of solitude and undisturbed breaks—it is a wearable pod that is made of collapsible materials and can be folded for easy storage.
