Fascinating Behind-The-Scenes Stories Of How Designers, Brands Do Great Work

Scott Stowell, who runs New York-based design studio Open, has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for Design for People, his new book that is essentially about “how design brings people together”.

Having worked with major brands like Google and Etsy, Stowell wanted to tell the stories of the studio’s biggest projects and the people who made all this great work possible, including clients, designers, interns and even the consumer who uses the product.

Featuring fascinating text contributions from the likes of Alice Twemlow and Maira Kalman, and “pretty pictures” of the various projects, this insightful industry-insider tome explains what really goes on during the design process—more specifically, it will “show you what it’s like to work together to make things better”.

You can pledge for Design for People here, and be among the firsts to receive it.
