London-based street photographer Nick Turpin highlights the stillness of bus commuters in his series ‘Through A Glass Darkly’.
Captured staring out windows and leaning back in their seats, they appear moody and pensive, lost in faraway thoughts as they wait to arrive at their destinations.
Obscured by fog, their blurred, indistinct outlines invite the viewer to interpret them based on the scenes depicted.
Turpin shot the portraits from a distance with a hand-held long lens on cold winter nights.
