After Victoria’s Secret drew flak for seeming to suggest its models have perfect bodies, lingerie brand Dear Kate has swiftly rebutted with an ad of its own.
The ad features 10 women of various shapes and sizes, accompanied by the declaration “We show a multitude of shapes perfect bodies can take.”
The women are non-professional models and include a doctor, a CEO, and a performance artist, whose bodies more closely resemble those of real women rather than the slim, identical ones championed by Victoria’s Secret.
This isn’t the first time Dear Kate has sent an empowering message—it previously ran a campaign featuring female tech leaders in their underwear.
What are your thoughts on the company’s response to the original Victoria’s Secret ad?
