Drone Boning is an erotic film by Brooklyn-based production company Ghost+Cow Films that was shot entirely by an aerial drone.
Taken in San Francisco, the three-minute-long film features people having sex in various surroundings—from country sides and mountainous terrains to the side of roads and beaches.
According to an interview with Motherboard, the company said that it wanted to explore the “whole idea of drone privacy and strikes”.
“It started as a kind of funny commentary on privacy and voyeurism, but it quickly became a conceptual grounding,” said Brandon LaGanke, one of the filmmakers.
“We wanted to see the artistic value of this perspective,” added John Carlucci, a partner of LaGanke. “It’s an omniscient point of view, really. We did these shots in places where you couldn’t see much from the ground, but then you put a drone in the air and you can see what’s happening.”
