Ice artist Brent Christensen has created a beautiful ice castle made entirely out of icicles, without any foreign materials or sub structures to support it.
The artist stumbled upon this method of construction through sheer experimentation one winter, while looking for activities to entertain his children.
Due to the nature of the ice, different formations come about organically, creating something entirely new and unique to each part of the ice building.
Christensen’s large “Ice Castle” is 20 to 25 feet high and consists of a cave, a tunnel, a huge slide and even an ice-skating rink—when illuminated by multi-colored LED lights at night, it looks especially magical.
