Sweden’s ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjarvi is currently home to 40 different artists from around the world.
This cold building is not just a place for artists and designers to stay, but also a large-scale art project itself.
The special architecture is created using 1,000 tons of pure ice, and 30,000 cubic meters of frozen water collected from Torne River.
Each room has a unique design and has been carefully thought out before construction.
The guest rooms feature carved textured walls and beautiful ice sculptures.
The ICEHOTEL is an exhibit which remains open until the sun melts away the structure and artworks.
According to its website, “the art is created with imagination and hard work, only to melt away under the unforgiving rays of the sun come springtime. All that remains are our impressions, our memories – and photographs.”
