UK-based artist Matthew Picton uses strips of paper to create three-dimensional, true-to-life maps of cities around the world.
Each sculpture is made with a material that reflects the city it is depicting—for instance, pages from Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is used for the Las Vegas piece while his map of Jerusalem is made of paper stripes from religious texts like the Bible.
