Italian photographer Alessandro Venier has photographed portraits of artisans from diverse fields like sculpting, basket-weaving, bee-keeping, furniture restoration and tailoring.
Through his pictures, he explores the effects of modernization on traditional craft industries, and the relationship of these crafts have with the modern world of innovation.
All the subjects in this series were photographed at workspaces they have been working at for decades, reminding us that such traditional crafts will be lost forever if no one will carry on them on.
