To promote Alexander Wang’s Spring 2013 T collection, comedienne Anjelah Johnson reprises her role as Bon Qui Qui (a character she played on MADtv), as the newest employee at Alexander Wang’s NYC flagship store.
The humorous spot features Bon Qui Qui at her ‘best’—on her first and last day of work—as she serves customers with the most unique service and antics, such as: trying to fit a small shoe on a customer’s foot because she’s afraid to go into the basement, telling a pregnant lady she won’t fit into any shirt in the store, selling her single, and catching a ‘thief’.
As opposed to de rigueur fashion advertising, the humorous spot removes the pretentiousness and superficiality out of the industry.
