
According to the NBCUniversal’s Brand Power Index,—which pinpoints the brands that consumers cannot stop talking about—Starbucks had the largest increase in consumer interest in 2012, a 30% growth from 2011.
Ranking 26 in the list of “buzziest brands” of 2012, it stood out as the fastest-growing company in terms of the amount of “talk” it has generated.
The significant increase in consumer interest that Starbucks enjoyed in 2012 could be attributed to its introduction of mobile payment to 7,000 stores last fall.
