‘Tamagotchi’—the popular digital pet from the ‘90s is making its return as a mobile app.
The small handheld egg-shaped device will be remade into a soon-to-be-released app for iOS and Android devices called ‘Tamagotchi L.I.F.E’.
According to the Tamagotchi blog, there will be a mix of old and new features—users will get to play a series of new mini games with their virtual pets, unlock mobile wallpapers and shell cases—as well as play in ‘Retro Mode’, which should be more familiar to older fans
The app will be released for Android users on 14 February 2013, however, iPhone users will have to subscribe to their site to be alerted of its release on the iOS.
