Soon, you will be able to enjoy precious in-flight sleep without being interrupted by other passengers or flight attendants.

The “happiness blanket”, introduced by British Airways, helps you to communicate to others how you are feeling during the flight, thus minimizing any unnecessary disruptions during your flight.

The wool blanket is embedded with tiny fiber-optic LEDs, which react by changing their color after they receive brainwave information that is sent via Bluetooth from the accompanying headband worn by the passenger.

For instance, when the passenger is in deep sleep, the blanket turns blue to signify “calm, peace and relaxation”. Similarly, when the passenger feels agitated or uncomfortable, the blanket turns red.
