Artist Launches Plants Into Space To Enthralling Results





Flower artist Azuma Makoto wanted to explore “what kind of ‘beauty’ shall be born” when plants are uprooted from its natural environment of roots, soil and gravity.



So in his project titled ‘Exobiotanica—Botanical Space Flight’, he teamed up with DIY space program group JP Aerospace to launch plants into space using a helium-filled balloon.
