Since 2012, Brazilian artist Matheus Toscano has been rendering memorable soccer scenes in 8-bit art style. This year’s World Cup is no exception.
Using an iPad and drawing app ‘Sprite Something’, he recreates historic world cup instances into 8-bit graphics. From Argentina’s manager Alejandro Sabella’s comical reaction to Gonzalo Higuain’s missed shot to Germany’s Mario Götze’s winning goal, check out more impressive works here.
