Authors Play Dress Up In Costumes Of Their Favorite Fictional Characters

Photographer Cambridge Jones, in collaboration with The Story Museum in Oxford, England, spiced up his task of photographing a group of popular authors by asking them to dress up like their favorite fictional characters from their childhood.

In his photo series titled ‘26 Portraits’, Jones made the authors—including renowned fantasy writer Neil Gaiman—pose for the camera “in” character.

In case you were wondering how all 26 authors managed to portray their chosen characters rather accurately, their costumes were loaned from the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theater.

If you were invited to pose for a similar portrait, which fictional character would you pick?

Scroll down to see photographs from the series of the authors dressed up as witches and pirates.
