Design Agency Plans To Turn Billboards Into Living Spaces For The Homeless

Slovakian architecture design agency Design Develop has started a social initiative called ‘Project Gregory’ to turn outdoor billboards into living spaces for the homeless.

Using the existing structure of triangular billboards, the plan is to construct a small two-room apartment within the billboards.

One room will feature an entrance hall, a kitchen with a small office desk, and a bedroom with storage space. The other room will be turned into a bathroom with a wardrobe, toilet, and shower corner.

According to the project’s website, there will be “minimal maintenance cost” as the living spaces will be “partially paid through the rental of its advert space”.
