Right after Airbnb debuted their rather unfortunate logo, social network Foursquare has unveiled a new logo and images of an app redesign.
The new logo is a pink “F” that, according to the New York-based company’s blog, is a “a mix of map pin and superhero emblem”, as it thinks of its service “as giving you superpowers to explore your city”.
In addition to the “watermelon-pink” logo, the company has also launched an indigo wordmark in a simple san serif typeface—in the opinion of John Brownlee, a writer at Fast Co. Design, this is a “marked improvement” from Foursquare’s “monstrosity” of an old identity.
Users can also look forward to a complete makeover of the app in the coming weeks—what do you think about these changes on Foursquare?
