Less than a week ago, Zack Danger Brown had a simple dream—to make potato salad. So he took to Kickstarter to get backers to fund his initial goal of US$10 for his project.
Fast forward to today, Brown has raised more than $35,000 for his cooking project—an increment of 354,875 percent from his initial target.
Brown has since expanded his project to include stretch goals such as using better mayonnaise or doing a livestream of his potato salad making.
This successful project would not have been possible without the newly placed Kickstarter rules, doing away with many red tapes.
This could also be the start of Kickstarter being an unconventional platform of expression—you can easily fund achievable projects deem entertaining, yet not feel the pinch in your wallet with the little involvement required on your part.
