The FIFA World Cup may be drawing to a close soon, but fret not. Here is a book that will help you cope with your post-World Cup blues.
Soon, you can relive the vibrant moments of the beautiful game in The Age of Innocence: Football in the 1970s, an upcoming book about the glorious days of the World Cup in Seventies.
The book, edited by Reuel Golden, the former editor of the British Journal of Photography, contains essays, and behind-the-scenes photographs of football players relaxing off the field, legendary player PelĂ©—famously remembered as “The King of Football”—and other historic moments that happened in the game during the decade.
For now, feast your eyes on a selection of images below as the book would only be available at Taschen in August 2014.
