With the World Cup fever burning red hot in Brazil right now, have you wondered how the soccer spirit is like in the city of Sao Paulo?
Brazilian photographer Renato Stockler gave us an alternative, aerial view of the soccer fields nestled within Sao Paulo’s urban landscape with his project, “TerrĂ£o de Cima”.
His images often highlight the stark contrast between the soccer fields and their surrounding areas.
According to Stockler, such soccer fields are becoming a rare sight due to “property speculation and land occupation”. He even regards these soccer fields as an “oasis” in the congested city.
