Photographer Splits Fireworks In Half, Reveals Colorful Contents





Have you wondered what makes fireworks burst into dazzling displays of light and sound?



Photographer Andrew Waits gives us an insider’s view of fireworks in his photo series, ‘Boom City’.



He split the fireworks down the middle to reveal their surprising innards of colorful powders, tubes and conductors. Its seemingly harmless contents might come as a surprise, but beware—these babies pack a punch when ignited.
