Photographer Tom Chambers creates surreal photo-montages that look like they were lifted from our childhood daydreams.
In his photo series ‘Animal Visions’, Chambers features small children interacting with wild animals such as bears, deers and tigers, making such incidents seem like everyday occurrences.
His work is also painted in saturated and dramatic hues, creating a rich, fairy tale-like fantasyland.
Chambers said that he was influenced by “magic realism” used by Latin American writers and artists in the early 20th century, where “a simple twist goes beyond the expected into the unexpected”.
