Redesigned Text-Only Bible Features Custom Typefaces To Ensure Easy Reading

Based in Santa Cruz, California, graphic artist Adam Lewis Greene has created the “Bibliotheca”, an edition of the Bible that is “designed and crafted for reading, separated into four elegant volumes, and free of all numbers, notes, etc.”.

Not only has he stripped the biblical literature of its dense encyclopaedic conventions—including chapter divisions, verse numbers, notes, cross references—he has also created original typefaces for this special edition that aim to enhance your reading pleasure.

In addition, “time-tested typographic methods” have also been applied to the Bibliotheca to ensure easy reading—for instance, the type size, line length and margins have been optimized for a fluid reading experience.

With about two weeks more to go on its Kickstarter campaign, the Bibliotheca has already raised more than US$200,000, far exceeding its original US$37,000 goal.

According to its creator, this may be your only opportunity to get your hands on this lovely redesigned edition of the Bible, so you may want to pledge for it right away.
