The New Yorker's new look
After redesigning its magazine last September, The New Yorker has rolled out a new responsive website that makes it easier to view on smartphones, desktops and tablets.
Instead of a major overhaul, the venerable publication opted for subtle but significant tweaks, such as copious use of white space and a deemphasis on navigational toolbars and menus, and introduced a portal-like homepage to encourage browsing.
Aside from these aesthetical enhancements, it also pledged to deliver more online content, and allow full access to its digital archives for both subscribers and non-subscribers this summer.
