Most of us have the habit of starting a book, but not finishing it. One reason could be the many distractions in our lives, in the form of technology and the internet.
To remind us to continue reading, Penguin Books has created a campaign called ‘Tweet For A Read’.
For this campaign, the company designed a bookmark that sends tweet reminders to readers who have put down a book for too long.
The bookmark comes equipped with a timer, light sensor and nano-computer with WiFi, so it knows exactly when the book was last opened.
If the book has been ‘neglected’ for too long, it will send a tweet to the reader, reminding him or her to pick up the book and continue reading.
