This Concrete Typography Installation Brings A Message About Perfection

Hong Kong-based visual artist Jim Wong belives that ‘Perfection is not Concrete’, and that led him to produce a concrete typography installation to communicate his message.

In this installation, typography represents the human effort after the invention of tools and languages, while concrete represents the rules and absolute.

The work is deliberately presented with rough edges, showing that perfection does not have to exist in a certain way.

This installation was a part of the 2013 ‘NUMBERS’ exhibition, where the work was centered around the meaning of number in daily life, bringing together designers across graphic, product, multimedia and fashion industries.

Wong creates work that is not only focused on good design, but also communicates a social message and positivity.
