French designer Sascha Nordmeyer has created the “Hyperlip”, a plastic mouth piece that distorts the wearer’s face by putting a teeth-baring expression on it.
By stretching the mouth apart to reveal the teeth and gum, the bright red Hyperlip slaps either an exaggerated grin or grimace onto one’s face.
Los Angeles-based company Artecnica has just put this bizarre prosthesis into production, stating that it will “enhance your communication skills, make you look smart in any circumstance, be a great conversation piece at a party, raise a few eyebrows and it will certainly gets you tons of attention”.
The Hyperlip would also be part of a traveling exhibition titled “Photography Playground”, where visitors could have their pictures taken while wearing the product.
