Man Creates A Year-Long Project Focusing On Creatives In 12 US Cities

Brooklyn-based Wesley Verhoeve wants to encourage and let individuals be inspired by the “independent creative movement”, and he’s carrying out a year-long project to fulfill that.

He wrote, “We’re in a special moment of change, with an increasing number of people choosing the path less traveled—opting for self-employment, freelancing, working remotely or from a co-working space, or joining a smaller company. I want to capture the start of what I think is a lasting and important movement.”

Titled ‘One of Many’, the project provides a glimpse of creatives in 12 US cities through Verhoeve’s writing and photos.

He will spend an entire week at each of the 12 cities, and will provide a monthly update of each new place.

So far, Verhoeve has already published Charleston, SC and his upcoming visits include Savannah, GA (9-15 September), Seattle, WA and Portland, OR (14-31 October), New Orleans, LA (5-12 November) and Detroit, MI (2-9 December).
