A Red 'River' Made Of Ceramic Poppies Flows Around The Tower Of London

Ceramic artist Paul Cummins and stage designer Tom Piper, have worked together to create an installation that commemorates the centennial of Britain's involvement in the First World War.

The project titled “Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red” will be made up of 888,246 red ceramic poppy flowers fixated in the dry moat around the Tower of London—each poppy will represent a British or Colonial military that fought and lost their life in the war.
