Beautiful Close-Up Photos Reveal Poisonous Man-Of-War's Stinging Tentacles

If you happen to see any of these beauties washed ashore at Florida’s beaches, do stay away—these Portuguese man-of-war, an organism related to jellyfishes, are packed with nasty stings.



What you can do, though, is to examine the man-of-wars from a safe distance, thanks to photographer Aaron Ansarov’s breathtaking up-close photos and videos of its beautiful features.



Ansarov’s photos of these mysterious marine invertebrate, which landed a feature on National Geographic, revealed its fascinating tangle of tentacles in various patterns, sizes, and colors.
