Instead of capturing still photos of neatly arranged ingredients that go into a recipe, Berlin-based photographer Nora Luther shot a series of ingredients that were artfully tossed and tumbled into the air instead.
In her project ‘Recipes’, Luther, together with Pavel Becker, photographed ingredients of a recipe by making them appear “frozen” in mid air, highlighting the multiple raw ingredients and garnishes that go into each recipe.
Luther said that her “floating” food photos are not only “a foretaste of the dish but also of its own preparation.”
