After being fascinated by the way people in remote communities in India, Indonesia, and Bolivia seem to balance heavy objects on their heads almost effortlessly, photographer Floriane de Lassée decided to feature them in her photo series, ‘How Much Can You Carry?’.
In her ongoing project, de Lassée ventured to four continents to capture portraits of men and women posing with stacks of various multi-sized items that they carry daily on their heads to earn a living.
Despite the heavy loads on their heads and shoulders, their smiles and laughter hint at their sense of pride and delight in having their portraits taken.
