“One pixel, if it does its job right, doesn’t have a lot of power. It’s the pixel on your computer screen that goes dead—that’s the pixel you’re going to notice. You’re going to notice that little black pixel that isn’t there. It can’t get any simpler than one pixel.”



Kyle McCoy is a “hands-on approach” pixel artist.



He uses plastic beads to create works of art, often featuring pop culture characters. In the four-minute-long video below, he shows how he creates identifiable and recognizable masterpieces, despite them being stripped of elaborate details.
