US artist Ashley Oubré is a self-taught artist that has created a series of photorealistic drawings of people.
She uses graphite powder, india ink and carbon pencil to create her artworks—in her recent body of work, Ashley draws figures who are victims of social hardships.
Her drawings instill a sense of empathy, which she tries to portray a notion that she understands people who are feeling lost—she hopes that her drawings will be able to reach out to these people who are suffering in silence.
