China-based design company, Coor Design & Manufacture has created a candle with an integrated match tip. It can be easily lit up in the same manner one would light a match.
Created by their design team comprising Cui Zehao, Chen Xing, Hu Chuan, Yang Fan, Zhang Wei and Zhao Xiaoshen, this product known as ‘Match Candle’ was a winner of the 2013 Red Dot Design Award.
As you strike the candle tip on the strip next to the box packaging, the candle is lit and can be used as a candle right away.
This simple design tweak fixes the problem of often not being able to find a fire when it is needed.
