Researchers from the University of Nottingham have come up with a way to show us what happens when a McDonald’s cheeseburger is immersed in stomach acid.
The cheeseburger was dunked into a tank filled with hydrochloric acid, which is found in our stomachs—the food became black sludge in the process of being broken down.
