London Underground Marks 150th Year With 270 Intricate Artworks

To celebrate London Underground’s 150th year, British artist Mark Wallinger has been commissioned to illustrate a labyrinth artwork for every Tube station in London.

A total of 270 unique patterns will be made permanent, making this London Underground’s largest art commission.

These intricate brain-like patterns also feature a red “You Are Here” cross that marks an embarkation point.

So far, 10 of the artworks have been unveiled, the rest are to follow in the summer.
