The disappearing art of sugar painting can still be seen on the streets of China’s Sichuan province.

Despite the decline in its popularity, the ancient craft still manages to amaze tourists lucky enough to stumble upon this skilled street art.

Today, these paintings are tasty souvenirs at just 3 yuen for the small ones and 5 yuen for the big ones.

'Painting' artistic pieces from caramel is different from regular painting–because the hot sugar cools down quickly, the painter must be swift and accurate in his strokes while 'painting'.
