100 Definitions Of Branding From The Industry’s Insiders

As a last project before graduating from the SVA Masters in Branding program, student Sarah Fudin decided to collect 100 quotes about what branding means from the people working in the industry.

From the abstract to the catchy, the definitions gathered for this project is thought-provoking to say the least—branding seems to mean something different to every person involved in the exercise.

For instance, while Veronica Parker-Hahn thinks that branding is “convincing that voice in someone’s head to be on your side”, Liza Enebeis states that branding is simply “an exaggeration of the truth”.

Fudin ends the project with a final quote from herself—“Branding is uncovering a human truth and then creating something that speaks to that truth.”

You can read all 100 definitions of branding here—who would you define it?
