A Reusable To-Go Coffee Mug That Collapses To Fit In Your Pocket When Not In Use

If you pick up a cup of coffee every morning on your way to work, the number of to-go disposable cups you would have used and thrown away by now is probably considerable.

The Smash Cup, created by New York-based Ben Melinger, provides you with an alternative, more eco-friendly way to enjoy your morning coffee—it is a reusable travel mug that “collapses into a compact, liquid-tight disk” when not in use, allowing you to put it away in your briefcase, handbag or even pocket.

Consisting of three detachable parts, this dishwasher-safe cup folds down quickly with a “smash” against any surface—it is also leak-proof and would seal up any liquid in it.

Available in five bright colours, the Smash Cup’s Kickstarter campaign has already far exceeded its original goal with ample time to go—you can pledge for the project and receive one of these handy coffee cups for US$15.
