Swiss photographer Cyril Porchet visited the baroque churches in Germany, Spain and Austria to capture their altars for his project, ‘Seduction’.
In his project, Porchet wanted to show the extravagance of the baroque style by studying the “seductive power of display” that is evoked by these altars.
What culminated from his trips is a collection of striking photographs of altars that are lavished with an overwhelming amount of detail, leaving you in awe as you gaze at their ornate beauty.
