The Unkai Terrace which is located at the summit of Mount Tomamu in Hokkaido is a deck that lets visitors witness an amazing sea of clouds, a phenomenon also known as ‘Unkai’.
As the Unkai starts appearing at 4 am, viewers can be treated to the sight of stunning cloud formations.
However, the sea of clouds is an event of nature and may be cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
Unkai Terrace is accessible via a 13 minutes gondola ride from Hoshino Resorts Tomamu.
