Infographic: 15 Ways To Beat Jet Lag

Those of you who are frequent flyers know that all that shuttling between time zones and climates takes a toll; a messed up body clock, lethargy and headaches are just some of the common symptoms you have to put up with.

Luckily, UK travel website Thomas Cook has created an infographic that shows you 15 ways to beat jet lag.

According to the infographic, you can help minimize jet lag by changing your sleep routine a few days before your trip. If you’re going west, try going to bed later, and if you’re heading east, start sleeping earlier.

While onboard the plane, it helps to drink plenty of water, but you should avoid alcohol and caffeine as they dehydrate you, making your jet lag worse. Taking regular walks on long flights stretches your legs and improves blood circulation.

Upon arrival at your destination, expose yourself to sunlight and get a minimum of four hours of sleep a night to adjust to the new time zone faster.
