A new female hero will soon replace Marvel’s God of Thunder, Thor, in a new comic book series slated to be released this October.
THOR, the new series by Marvel Comics, will be written by Jason Aaron, and illustrated by Russell Dauterman.
As the current Thor is apparently unworthy of holding the mighty hammer, Mjölnir, the new hero—simply named THOR—will now possess its power, while leading the pack of other strong female characters like Black Widow and Storm.
Aaron wrote on the Marvel website, “This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR. This is the THOR of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before.”
