An anonymous North Korean architect, who has never left the country was commissioned by Koryo Tours to produce a set of illustrations that imagines the future of traveling in North Korea.
The illustrations portray architecture that may seem ordinary to what we have around the world right now but these works are considered impressive for an architect who never had access to the internet to keep up with trends.
Requested by Nick Bonner, founder of Koryo Tours, the theme of the illustrations focus on sustainability. Hence, the artworks feature mostly natural and traditional materials.
This is an effort by Koryo Tours to attract more tourists to North Korea and also to introduce their upcoming architectural tour of Pyongyang.
