UK band Throne’s latest music video is a stop motion delight made up of a whopping 3,000 embroidered animation frames.
The dizzying video was directed by London-based animator Nicos Livesey—who happens to be the lead singer of Throne—and co-directed by Tom Bunker.
To make the music video for their single Tharsis Sleeps, the team used three industrial embroidery machines and created over 3,000 embroidered animation frames.
Together with a team of animators and interns, the team took about a year to complete the entire laborious process of making the video.
