Like this interactive website that simulates drowning, the Everest Avalanche Tragedy website lets you experience the feeling of climbing Mount Everest.
The Himalayas, where Mount Everest is located, has for the past 500 years been home to the Sherpa people, who lead guided tours up the mountain.
The website was created by charity Sherpa Fund after an avalanche in April claimed the lives of 16 Sherpa climbers. The charity supports the families of the deceased.
It lets you trek the same route the Sherpas take, and features sounds of wind and snow. It also includes radio recordings that bring the tragic events of that day vividly to life.
Check out the website here.
