Is your iPhone 5’s battery dying out too quickly? If you answered “yes”, here is some good news from Apple.
The company has launched an ‘iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program’ after discovering that a small batch of iPhone 5 units “may suddenly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently”.
These affected iPhones were sold between “September 2012 and January 2013” and fall within a “limited serial number range”.
To check if your iPhone 5 is eligible for the replacement program, simply enter your iPhone’s serial number on Apple’s website here.
The replacement program is currently available in US and China. For other countries, it will be available from 29 August 2014.
